Nathan and Miranda Kassner are the founders of WEMO Wagyu, a Rich Hill Missouri based beef operation launched in 2021. With limited resources to grow a traditional cattle herd, they chose a different path by prioritizing quality over quantity and developing a premium Wagyu product designed for direct to consumer sales. Retail sales began in 2024, allowing them to build direct relationships with customers, retain more value at the farm level, and grow at a pace that fits their operation. Their experience offers practical insight for producers exploring direct sales as a sustainable and profitable strategy.
