Katrina O'Farrel

District Conservationist, Natural Resources Conservation Service

Katrina has worked for NRCS since 2001 where she interned 2 summers. She began her full-time work in Cass County as a Soil Conservationist for 12 years then moved to the St Clair County office for 5 years where she served Hickory, Cedar, and Dade Counties, in 2020 she moved to the Bates County office as a Resource Conservationist and in 2023 she accepted the District Conservationist position and currently manages Barton, Bates, Jasper and Vernon County NRCS Offices. Throughout her career she has worked with producers and partner agencies to address many different resource concerns on all sized operations such as small farmers, cropland, pasture and livestock producers. Katrina resides with her husband and 2 college age daughters in rural Bates County on their Family Cattle operation.
