Appleton City, Missouri, is a small town, quite far from any major highway, that is quietly and deliberately building new Main Street culture and commerce. It’s a great story about innovation and investment in our rural west central Missouri region.

Now our podcast Hometown Revival brings you into Appleton City’s revival with the story of two sisters who moved back home and have become part of it.

Join host Ben Vickers as he visits with Shellie Unell, her sister Ashley Deel, and Shellie’s husband Jonas. They have saved two historic downtown buildings since trading the hectic of suburbia for the relative simplicity of rural life back home.

They have also helped bring new life and customers to Appleton City’s Main Street since opening Down Dog Fitness studio last year and, recently, the 4th Street Fika coffee shop.

Enjoy their story in Episode 2 of our Hometown Revival podcast!
