A new project to help Google find rural businesses and communities is gaining steam in west central Missouri. The Making Rural Visible project starts in Cedar and St. Clair counties with free listings on the LocalAnyDay platform. Sign up is easy and ongoing. The more the merrier. LocalAnyDay makes local businesses easy to find by aggregating them on one national web site and on one national app. The more listings in an area, the more that area shows up when people search the internet or use the app.

Prizes! Businesses from Cedar and St. Clair that sign up by July 1, 2019, qualify for a drawing that will award free photography or graphic design so they show up even better online.

An app, too. Each county will have its own landing page on the LocalAnyDay app. This landing page will add links to local attractions and events to help promote communities, too.

Here’s the deal: Food and Drink businesses get to promote something they want to highlight each day of the week. Other businesses list in the category Good Stuff and show up with the same listing each day of the week.

New Growth has negotiated this two-county pilot project with LocalAnyDay to build local economy promotion in west central Missouri.
